CONNECTED COLOUR NOISE
’Connected Colour Noise’ is the process of mixing coloured threads together in order to create a new noise of colours. All colours knitted together are fused into a tension, as often seen on fuzzy-broken TV screens. Knitted structures melt into transparent fabrics or connect to leather and plastic. Katharina uses her traditional craftsmanship slightly differently by combining knitwear with laser-cut materials, such as leather, plastic and organza. Playing with femininity and masculinity in structures and worker-wear, she aims to renew traditional craftsmanship in a modern and refreshing way.
